I am a furniture technologist and industrial designer based in Melbourne, Australia.
Growing up I have always enjoyed drawing and building models which lead me to develop a keen eye for detail and my fascination for how objects are designed and made. This sparked my interest towards a career in design. Over time I developed a broad range of skills in design including technical drawings, concept development, 3D CAD. I gained a keen appreciation of all types of materials and methods of manufacturing.
In 2009 I completed my Diploma in Furnishing Technology at the School of Design RMIT TAFE, specialising in furniture design and manufacturing. This very practical course included everything from concept design, to 3D CAD drawing to CNC machine coding and manufacture optimisation.
In early 2010 I was nominated by RMIT and won the "Victorian Furnishing Industry Diploma in Furnishing Technology Award", an award in recognition of my final furniture piece at the completion of my diploma - The "Squash" coffee table.
In 2010 I commenced further studies towards a Bachelor of Industrial Design at Monash University.
I have recently completed my final year with honours.
